Tributes have been paid to a 19-year-old man who was shot dead in Liverpool last month.
Ellis Cox’s family said her world is “shattered, beyond repair and will never be the same.”
He was wholesale at the Liver Industrial Estate in Aintree on Sunday, June 23, in what Merseyside Police described as a “terrible and tragic incident”.
The teenager’s loved ones added: “Ellis was making the most of a sunny day cycling with friends.
“Ellis loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time with his family fishing, ATVing and camping, and it was rare for him to go anywhere without a family member.

“He was the best son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, grandson and friend you could hope for and was fiercely loyal to all of us.
“He was loved and adored by everyone who was lucky enough to know him and spend time with him and our lives were so much richer for having him there.”
Ellis’ family has appealed for anyone “with the slightest information” to come forward and help Merseyside Police with their investigation.
“Please don’t think anything is insignificant and let the police be the judge of that. We need to find out who is responsible,” they added.

Ellis was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after police and paramedics were called to the scene last month.
Mark Baker, who is leading the investigation, said at the time: “Although this happened in an industrial area, there are homes nearby and I would ask anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or who heard anything , please come forward so we can provide answers for your family and bring the killer or killers to justice.”
He added that – although the last 12 months have seen the lowest number of firearms fired at Merseyside in more than two decades – armed violence has “claimed many lives”.
“Our efforts to take guns off the streets and put those reckless enough to use them in prison will never stop,” Baker said — adding that Ellis’ death is a “tragic reminder” of how gun crime can “separate families” and “ruin many more lives than just the victim.”
