THE Sun has uncovered the woodland location of a cemetery where triple murder suspect Kyle Clifford was hiding as a massive manhunt for him was underway.

Clifford, 26, was arrested by police near the headstones at Lavender Hill Cemetery in Enfield, north London, on Wednesday afternoon after suffering a serious self-inflicted wound.

Officers spent two hours searching the 20-acre Victorian cemetery – just meters from Clifford’s family home – after his car was discovered outside.

The former soldier was found at around 4:30 pm, with the help of an infrared camera from a police helicopter.

The images showed him being taken away on a stretcher and placed in an ambulance.

He reportedly underwent emergency surgery for a chest wound at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel and remains in a serious condition.

The cemetery, which was isolated by police until Thursday, was reopened yesterday.

There are signs of debris, including medical gloves, in front of an overgrown clearing near the entrance to Cook’s Hole Road, where the former soldier is believed to have gained access.

A small opening in the bushes leads to a large wooded area, where the vegetation has been trampled by people crossing it.

It is in this shadowy forest that Clifford would have waited while the police searched for him.

Maintenance workers were mowing the grass and tidying up the area yesterday morning.

‘Beast killer’ arrested after ‘murder’ of BBC star’s family sparks manhunt

Clifford was arrested after BBC star John Hunt’s wife and two daughters were allegedly murdered at home.

A massive manhunt was launched for Clifford, 26, after the triple horror in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on Tuesday night.

Carol Hunt, 61, wife of BBC star John Hunt, and two of her daughters, Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28, were allegedly tied up before being killed.

Clifford, who previously dated Louise, was caught in a dramatic raid at a cemetery in his home town of Enfield on Wednesday night.

The former soldier was rushed to a major trauma center with suspected self-inflicted injuries, but has now been formally arrested.

Detective Superintendent Rob Hall said: “Our thoughts remain with the victims’ family at this tragic time.

“The investigation is progressing rapidly and as a result we have arrested one man. Inquiries are continuing at this time.”
