The King and Queen were briefly sidelined from an engagement in Jersey following a “false alarm”.
Camilla was said to be eating ice cream at an ‘exposure’ event when a member of the royal party said something to her in private.
She and the king were then driven and taken to the nearby Pomme d’Or hotel in the capital St. Helier.
It is understood that a member of the royal staff raised a concern, but following an investigation it turned out to be a false alarm.
After a thorough check, the visit resumed shortly afterwards.
