Families of two British people missing in Sweden are appealing for information about their whereabouts, fearing they may have been victims of a double homicide.

It happens after two bodies were found in a burning car in an industrial area of ​​Malmo on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews made the discovery after putting out the flames – with a possible bullet hole in one of the victims, according to local media.

Police have not yet formally identified them, but reports say they are British and may have been shot before the fire started.

Juan Cifuentes, 33, and Farooq Abdulrazak, 37, traveled to Denmark It is Sweden for an overnight business trip and were due to return to the UK at 6pm on Sunday, according to a social media appeal.

“The two people who were found dead in a burned-out car on Sunday afternoon have not yet been identified,” police said Tuesday.

“The bodies are being examined by forensic medicine. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.

“Several witnesses have been interviewed and police are interested in further observations and tips.”

A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: “We are supporting the families of two British men reported missing in Sweden and are liaising with local authorities.”
