A mother was arrested for stabbing her boyfriend because he used up all her milk.
Melissa Eynon, 32, was spared prison in May over the kitchen knife attack.
But she violated the terms of her suspended sentence by missing probation meetings or appearing under the influence of drugs, so she was back in court this week.
His prison sentence of 13 months and two weeks was activated.
Eynon was furious and attacked her partner after going downstairs to make a cup of tea and discovering there was no milk.
He suffered injuries to his arm and hand – but did not report the incident for three days in case of implications for his daughter.
Instead, he left and went to a store to clean and bandage the wound – then went to Morrisons to buy more milk.
Upon returning home, he tried to calm Eynon, but was unsuccessful.
Eynon told police: “I would have stabbed him a long time ago if I was going to stab him.”
Eynon, of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, admitted being unlawfully injured.
Their relationship was described as “toxic” at Swansea Crown Court.
