The families of four young people who died in a car crash in Gloucestershire have paid tribute to them, saying they left an “ocean of sadness” behind them.

The police said found the bodies of four friends in a Renault Clio on the A436 just before 2am on Sunday.

They believe the car left the road and crashed into a tree in Ullenwood, near Cheltenham, killing the men.

The victims were identified as Andrei Tudorov, aged 18, a Romanian national who was on holiday in Gloucestershire, Lyuben Gogov, Narcis Titianu and Ioan Toma, all aged 20.

Gogov was a Bulgarian national, while Titianu and Toma were Romanian nationals, Gloucestershire Police said.

‘An angel who flew too soon’

Tudorov’s mother, Iolanda, paid tribute to her “angel” son, saying: “He was going to do his bachelor’s degree and go to Campina and wanted to be a police officer.

“Andrei has been playing sports since he was four years old.

“He was a warm and loving soul, a good brother, an angel who flew away too soon, leaving behind an ocean of sadness, both in his family and among his friends.”

‘Unlimited love and joy’

Mr Titianu’s family paid tribute to the “boundless love and joy” he brought to those who knew him.

They said: “As the youngest of three siblings, Narcis brought boundless love and joy into the lives of her family and friends.

“Words cannot fully capture the essence of Narcis, our handsome and intelligent brother.

“Although he is no longer with us, we maintain hope that one day we will be reunited when God returns.

“Until then, his memory will live on in our hearts, an irreplaceable part of our lives.”
