The road was closed for seven hours while police investigated the accident.

Police Scotland Sergeant Mike Thomson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the men who died at this very difficult time.

“Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the accident and who has not yet spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dashcam footage that could help to contact us.”
