Woman dies after dog attack in Southend | UK News

A 34-year-old woman died after being attacked by a dog.

Essex Police said officers were called to an address in Southend by the ambulance service at 11.30pm on Monday.

The woman was taken to hospital with “serious injuries”.

She died at the Royal London Hospital in the early hours of Wednesday.

Police said the dog involved in the incident was seized and is not a prohibited breed.

Two dogs were seized from the address, but only one of them is believed to be involved in the incident, police said.
