It is also understood that the children who remain hospitalized are now in a stable condition.

In a statement, the NHS Trust treating the patients said: “We are delighted that two of the children involved in Monday’s horrific incident have now been discharged.

“We continue to treat five children involved in the devastating incident in Southport on Monday, including one recently transferred to us from Aintree University Hospital.

“All children in our care are currently in stable condition. Our sincere condolences remain with everyone affected by Monday’s incident.

“We will not provide any further information.”

It comes on the same day that a 17-year-old boy is in court charged with the murders of six-year-old Bebe King, seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar.

Eight other people were in serious condition, including yoga dance teacher Leanne Lucas and Jonathan Hayes.

Heroine Leanne “leaned over two little girls” and received knife blows to save them, her family revealed.

She was stabbed in the arms, neck and back while using her body to protect young girls – and is now “awake” and recovering.”

Her colleague Heidi Liddle escaped unharmed after bravely locking some of the children inside a bathroom.

Jonathan Hayes was stabbed in the leg as he bravely tried to defend himself from his attacker after running to class when he heard screams.

Terrified witnesses described the violence as something out of a “horror movie” as the teenager allegedly stabbed children at random.

The attack sparked riots across the country – despite the local community calling for calm.

Thugs set fire to a police car and threw bricks at officers in Hartlepool last night as tensions rose.
