Now Edwards is in another legal battle after splitting from TV producer Vicky.

Representatives of the former BBC news anchor will appear at the High Court in London today for a divorce hearing regarding financial remedies.

It turns out Edwards had moved out of the family home in Dulwich, south London, which they had previously shared.

Since then, the former News at Ten anchor has divided his time between a home in Wandsworth, south-west London, and his home country of Wales.

His new London home was revealed on Tuesday afternoon when his new address appeared in court documents.

The couple, who got engaged in 1993, have three sons and two daughters.

A source said: “They split a long time ago but haven’t announced it publicly.

“Huw has been living elsewhere for some time.”

It turns out that Edwards faces the prospect of prison after receiving videos of sexual abuse of children as young as seven on WhatsApp between December 2020 and August 2021.

On Wednesday, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard that seven of the 41 images Edwards received fell into Category A – the most serious classification.

This included two moving images of a child, possibly aged between seven and nine.

He also had photos of other children aged between 13 and 15 stored on his phone.

Another 12 images were classified as Category B and 19 as Category C.

It comes after we handed our dossier on Edwards to the BBC last year to help their investigation into the broadcaster after first exposing how he received sexual photos of a vulnerable young man.

Meanwhile, former BBC royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell criticized Edwards for not resigning following his arrest in November.

Instead, he was one of the BBC’s highest-paid presenters, with a salary range of between £475,000 and £479,999 for the year 2023/24.

Edwards was accused of making 37 indecent images of children in June, although the information was only released last month, before admitting the crimes on Wednesday.

He now faces calls to repay the salary he received between his arrest in November and April, when he left the BBC.

Edwards is said to have received around £200,000 from the BBC from the time of his arrest to when he left the BBC in April.

However, Lisa Nandy today said Edwards should pay back the salary, adding it is “not a good use of taxpayers’ money”.

She said Sky News: “I think he should give his salary back.

“I think having him arrested on such serious charges in November and continuing to receive this salary until he resigned is wrong and not a good use of taxpayers’ money.

“I think most people in the country will agree with that, but it’s up to him whether he does it or not.”
