A STUDENT has been accused of a series of sexual and knife crimes, including attempted rape.
The 13-year-old is accused of carrying out a three-week campaign in the Newfoundpool area of Leicester.
Leicestershire Police arrested the boy in the early hours of Friday.
He was charged with suspected attempted rape, sexual assault of a woman and possession of a knife blade or sharp object in a public place.
He allegedly attempted to oral rape a woman while carrying a knife on Ruby Street on July 10.
The boy is also accused of fighting with intent to commit a sexual offense against a woman while carrying a knife on Stephenson Drive on July 29.
He also allegedly sexually assaulted a woman with a knife on Rowan Street on July 31.
Police charged him with a fourth count of carrying a knife on Fosse Road North on August 1.
Detective Inspector George Fraser said: “Our investigation into these incidents continues and we would still ask anyone who can help, but who has not yet contacted police, to come forward.
“Any information you can provide can help us.”
The boy, whose legal name cannot be identified, was remanded in custody and will appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today.
