Far-right thugs have been warned they face a “reckoning” as the Prime Minister holds a Cobra meeting after a weekend of chaos.
More than 420 people have been arrested after lies on social media sparked riots across the UK.

Hundreds of thugs threw petrol bombs at a hotel housing asylum seekers in Rotherham, near Sheffield, yesterday.
Protesters wearing balaclavas threw bricks and fire extinguishers at police officers who tried in vain to stop them from setting the hotel on fire.
Ten riot police officers were injured – including one who was knocked out after suffering a head injury.
Yobs also bombed a Holiday Inn housing asylum seekers in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
A children’s library in Liverpool and a citizens’ advice center in Sunderland were also set on fire at the weekend.
Mosques across the country were attacked and shops belonging to Britain’s ethnic minority were looted.
Today Sir Keir Starmer will convene ministers and police chiefs for the first Cobra meeting since the riots began.
Last night, the Prime Minister said the “far-right thugs” behind the riots would regret their actions.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper criticized the “disgraceful” riots – saying they betray British values.
Writing in The timesCooper said: “Make no mistake – there will be a reckoning for the individuals who participated in this violence.
“Regardless of what they and some of their political supporters may tell us, these are not patriots defending their communities.
“They are thugs, criminals and extremists who betray the very values our country was built on.”
Home Secretary James Cleverly told Times Radio: “Mosques are being targeted, care homes are being targeted.
“We are seeing people with swastika tattoos and giving Nazi salutes – this is evidently motivated in significant part by the far right.
“We know that there is a very active online community that incites hatred, incites the type of attitudes that trigger events like this.
“So we know where this is coming from. It is absolutely correct to describe the actions of these people as being far right.”

Conservative leadership candidate Cleverly said the government had been “slow” in quelling the riots.
He said: “When the government gets things right I will support them because this issue is absolutely fundamental.
“But I’m also worried that they were slow. Only today will Cobra sit down.”
UK reform leader Nigel Farage called for Parliament to be dismissed this morning.
Posting on X, Farage added: “We must not rule out using the army if the situation deteriorates further.”
Violent clashes broke out in dozens of UK towns and cities last week and continued over the weekend.
They have been fueled by online lies following the murder of three girls in Southport on Monday.
Posts wrongly claimed that suspect Axel Rudakubana was a Muslim asylum seeker.
Rudakubana, 17, was born in Cardiff and raised Christian.
Horrific violence followed the attack in Southport, before riots spread to Hartlepool and Manchester on Wednesday.
Riots broke out in Sunderland and Blackpool on Friday – and in 11 other cities on Saturday and Sunday.
At Middlesbrough Cenotaph, hundreds of protesters clashed with police before throwing slate, cans and pans at officers.
A group of masked idiots walked through a residential suburb of the city.
They used metal bars and wooden poles to break car windshields and windows of townhouses.
Vehicles were set on fire, along with trash cans.
Meanwhile, in Weymouth, police officers were tasked with keeping protesters and counter-protesters apart along the beach.
Police confirmed that two officers were injured, one hit in the face with a bottle and the other was punched.
Another migrant hotel in the Hampshire town of Aldershot was also targeted.
A group of men outside Potters International Hotel waved a banner insisting: “We are not far right, we are right.”
At around 6.45pm, a crowd of around 200 people “engaged in criminal activity, throwing objects and subjecting people to racist abuse”, according to Hampshire Police.
In the center of Bolton, large crowds of anti-immigration protesters gathered alongside counter-protesters as police tried to keep them separated.
Problems also arose in Belfast, Blackpool, Stoke, Leeds, Hull, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Bristol and Portsmouth.

THE SUN SAYS
THERE are several things to learn from the sickening scenes of riots across the UK following the murders of three innocent girls in Southport.
That relying on the Wild West of social media for news – rather than regulated, traditional and trusted social media outlets – exposes users to a constant feed of fakes from skewed algorithms.
That a lack of prompt transparency from police and other authorities often creates a vacuum in which lies are spread by distorted conspiracy theorists.
This, in turn, is fueled by misinformation deliberately spread by evil foreign states like Russia to sow discord in the UK.
There is no doubt that the courts should now throw the book at the drunk and drugged-up far-right thugs responsible for the mindless violence in towns like Rotherham.
Punishment must also be meted out to the far left and Islamists who also seek to create a divide in our communities.
But it remains true that unless the Government tackles the twin problems of violent crime and illegal migration, vile racists and organized bigots will always seek to exploit these issues.
This is precisely why Sir Keir Starmer wants to use the full force of justice against the mobs.
Yet amidst the disgusting and depressing scenes, we were also shown the true uplifting face of Britain.
The Southport mosque was repaired by volunteer builders, local residents who lead clean-up operations in their towns.
The far right faced each other as, ultimately, it always has.
Because it’s vital to remember that this remains a moderate and tolerant country – always capable of giving a sneer to fascists who deserve both scorn and contempt.
We haven’t let them win before and we won’t start now.
