Banksy’s latest artwork sparks intrigue

The goat appears to be just minutes away from falling from a height when rubble shatters below.

A security camera appears to be looking directly at the artwork on a London building.

Art teacher Amber Doffman, 26, saw the iconic street artist’s Instagram post about his new work.

She said she recognized his location and ran to find him.

“I saw his Instagram post 40 seconds after it was posted and immediately recognized where the art was,” Amber said.

“So I got in my car and ran over there. I got there 15 minutes after he posted it on Instagram — and the paint was still wet.”

Amber, who lives in Acton, said she has been writing to Banksy for years – and just a few months ago sent him an email asking him to come to west London.

“I emailed him asking him to come to west London and now here he is,” said the teacher.

“I will tell myself that I made it happen. I mean, probably not – but it’s a huge coincidence.

“I just can’t believe he was there. It’s unbelievable.”

Amber added that she believes the artwork is a commentary on the environment.

She said: “I think it’s to do with the environment – and how we’ve ruined it to the point where animals don’t know where to go anymore.

“It’s also important to note that that security camera wasn’t facing that way before. Banksy directed her to the goat.

“It’s like he’s wanting your attention.”

Amber also proudly confessed that Banksy was an inspiration for her career.

She said: “He is my idol and the reason I became an art teacher.
“I’m beyond inspired by Banksy.

“I hope they cover it with plexiglass immediately before someone ruins it – I’m so scared it’s going to be vandalised.”

Meanwhile, other fans left their opinions on social media.

“There is nowhere else to go. We are just waiting for autumn”, commented one of them.

“Scapegoat,” wrote another.

A third joked “The goat is back” in reference to their love of Banksy’s work.

It comes after a masterpiece appeared in a block of flats on Hornsey Road in Finsbury Park in March.

Local residents were shocked when green foliage was painted on the wall behind a tree brutally cut down overnight.

The artist later claimed the work as his own in an Instagram post.

It was covered with a plexiglass barrier to protect against criminals and vandals who tried to destroy it.

Banksy often refers to contemporary issues in his work, and James Peal, from the BBC Radio 4 series The Banksy Story, said: “The message is clear. Nature is fighting back and it’s up to us to help it thrive.” again.

“If you go back to the beginning of his work, he’s always looking for something he can do with minimal effort to make something really cool.”

But some residents pushed back and claimed they were concerned that the new artwork would increase rent prices in their area..

Mystery surrounding Banksy mural that suddenly disappeared

By Jane Matthews

LOCALS who say they forked out money to keep a Banksy in their town were furious after he went missing – and are now demanding his return.

The Valentine’s Day mask appeared on a wall in Margate, Kent, on February 14 last year – with the mysterious street artist announcing within hours that it was one of his own.

The piece showed a 1950s housewife with a black eye and missing tooth closing a freezer with a man’s legs dangling over the side – in what appeared to be a snapshot of a domestic violence victim’s revenge.

At the time, the local council was criticized for TWICE removing the freezer in front of the mural – saying it was “unsafe”.

The art was then removed while a permanent home for it was found, and in the months that followed, the public was offered the opportunity to purchase shares in the piece.

Sarah Henman, 47, was one of those who splurged in August last year – saying she was under the impression it meant everything would stay in Margate.

But less than a year later, it disappeared – and locals like Sarah said they had no idea where it was or when it would return.

Mum Sarah told The Sun: “We were really pleased that people came here to see it.

“What a great way to generate money for the city.

“We think the point of having shares was to keep it in Margate.

“We didn’t know where he was moving, we didn’t know when he would be back.

“We feel that now we are lost. I’m very upset.”

Desperate for answers, Sarah turned to The Sun for help – and we managed to find the missing Banksy more than 70 miles away.

In February this year, it was revealed that the work would be on display at the Yamaha Music Store in London.

As of this week, it remained there – and its future remains uncertain.

The Yamaha Music Store, where the piece is currently located, said Banksy’s future will be decided in the coming weeks.
