Action News Jax’s First Alert Weather Team continues to monitor Tropical Storm Debby and its impacts on our area.
As a result, the First Warning Weather Team has declared a First Warning Weather Day until Tuesday.
First Alert meteorologist Trevor Gibbs is currently tracking Debby as she slowly moves away but leaves gusts of wind and rain behind. The storm is currently over the Atlantic and will move toward South Carolina tomorrow.

Enveloping rain bands continue to impact southeast Georgia and the northeast coast of Florida with occasional light to moderate rainfall. These bands will continue at times along the coast today as the dry weather increases during the afternoon.
Temperatures will be warmer today with more sunshine, rising into the 80s and 90s inland.

Warm weather is coming to end the work week with some afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
As for the tropics, the local weather is improving following Tropical Storm Debby. There is a wave in the Caribbean that has little chance of developing and will stay far away from here. The next name on this year’s list is Ernesto.
