The source revealed that the pop star held a meeting with the entire team to explain what was happening and ensure everyone’s safety.
They claimed that Swift is planning to continue working on the Eras Tour following the threats.
The singer was scheduled to visit London after the Vienna shows.
On Wednesday, authorities received a tip from foreign intelligence agencies about an alleged planned attack on Swift’s programs.
Two suspects, including a 19-year-old man, were arrested after police found a number of chemicals and other substances at their residence in Ternitz.
After authorities received the report, they asked residents to evacuate the area during the operation.
The suspects allegedly had plans for a mass attack.
Bomb squads were investigating whether the materials would be used in explosives.
After the operation, the Austrian Director General of Public Security, Franz Ruf, released a statement.
“A concrete threat was averted,” Ruf said.
“The crime suspect was focused on Taylor Swift’s concerts. Preparatory actions were detected.”
Barracuda Music, an Austrian concert promoter, also released a statement announcing the cancellation of the shows.
“With government officials confirming a planned terrorist attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety,” they wrote.
They also revealed that viewers will receive a refund within 10 business days.
