Gas prices in the Midwest have fallen since last week. Here’s a look

Regional gas prices fell last week and averaged $3.43 per gallon for regular gas on Monday, down from last week’s price of $3.48 per gallon, according to the United States Information Administration. US Energy.

The average price of fuel in the Midwest region has increased by about 6 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the region last year were as low as $2.77 on January 8, 2024, and as high as $3.77 on August 14, 2023.

A year ago, the average gas price in the Midwest was 7% higher, at $3.68 per gallon.

The average price of gasoline in the United States last week was $3.45, making prices in the Midwest about 0.6% lower than the country’s average. The national average gas price is down from last week’s average of $3.48 per gallon.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s price count for Midwestern states includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
