HUMILIATING video shows the moment despot Vladimir Putin looked flabbergasted as he was told by military chiefs that Russia had been invaded.

The tyrant turned pale at a decisive meeting with high-ranking generals, where he was told that 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers had crossed the border.

Putin lashed out on Wednesday, raging against Ukraine’s “large-scale provocation” in the Kursk border region.

The Russian military chief, General Valery Gerasimov, was forced to face the despot in a meeting and admit how a significant part of the region’s territory had been lost.

The elderly despot, 71, appeared quietly furious as he demanded an update on the situation.

Exciting footage captured him at the head of a long table flanked by his Kremlin cronies.

On a screen at the other end of the room, General Gerasimov says: “Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, totaling 1,000 men, went on the offensive to seize a section of territory in the Sudzhinsky district of the Kursk region.

“Through the actions of units covering the state border, together with border guards and reinforcement units, air strikes, missile forces and artillery fire, the enemy’s advance deep into the territory in the direction of the city of Kursk was stopped” .

He then tells Putin that 100 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 215 injured.

“Fifty-four units of armored vehicles, including seven tanks, were destroyed,” he said.

“The operation will be completed by defeating the enemy and reaching the state border.”

Russia has tried to claim that the situation is under control, despite reports of Kiev’s success.

Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers, along with dozens of tanks and armored vehicles, launched the daring attack on Tuesday night.

They are believed to have plowed about 10 miles deep and 6 miles wide.

A snarling Putin raged: “As you know, the Kiev regime has undertaken another large-scale provocation.

“It is indiscriminately firing various types of weapons, including rockets, at civilian buildings, homes and ambulances.”

It appears to be the first successful large-scale offensive carried out by Ukraine after months of working in a front-line defensive position.

Kiev authorities have not yet officially commented on the operation.

Ukraine’s objectives have not been defined, but the Russians fear that one objective could be to reach the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, an important Russian strategic asset.

Thousands of Russians are evacuating the region amid complaints that Putin’s armed and security forces have failed to protect them.

The city of Sudzha is under partial control of Ukraine and almost surrounded by its forces.

A close friend of Putin, former president Dmitry Medvedev, today attacked Ukraine for the incursion – which shocked Moscow – and demanded that Russia respond by crushing Ukraine.

It was now “necessary” to “mercilessly defeat and destroy the enemy” and organize an all-out invasion, he said.

“From now on, the (war) must acquire an openly extraterritorial character.

“This is no longer just an operation to return our official territories and punish the (Ukrainian) Nazis.

“We can and must go to the lands of the still existing Ukraine. To Odesa, to Kharkiv, to Dnipro, to Mykolaiv (all cities now controlled by Ukraine).

“There should be no restrictions in the sense that some borders of the Ukrainian Reich are recognized by anyone.

“And now we can and should talk about it openly, without embarrassment.

“Let everyone, including the English, realize this: we will only stop when we consider it acceptable and beneficial to ourselves.”

Alexei Smirnov, acting governor of Kursk Oblast, Russia, stated that Ukrainian forces invaded the Sudzha and Korenevo districts of Kursk Oblast.

Telegram channels with links to the Russian Defense Ministry said Ukrainian forces had captured the villages of Nikolaevo-Darino, Sverdlikovo and Oleshnya – and secured strong footholds in these border areas.

The furthest village said to have been captured is about four kilometers from the international border, deep inside Russia.

Other reports state that Ukrainian troops also advanced to Gogolevka and Goncharovka inside Russia.

Ukraine has not yet commented on these major advances.

The Russian military said Ukraine sent several tanks and armored fighting vehicles across its northeastern border on Aug. 6 in a “massive attack.”

It is the same region that rebels supporting Ukraine attacked in a two-pronged attack in March.

Why does Ukraine launch cross-border attacks against Russia?

By James Halpin, Foreign News Reporter

Ukraine has attacked Russia itself several times since Russia invaded its neighbor in February 2022.

The attacks included ground attacks with tanks and troops, and also the use of long-range missiles.

In March, rebels from the Russian Freedom Legion (FRL), Siberian Battalion (SB) and Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) supporting Ukraine launched a two-pronged attack.

In May last year, the Free Russia Legion attacked the country as it sought to “build a free Russia”.

So far, none of the incursions have managed to take over any land, with the invaders either being defeated or retreating.

Ultimately, they seek to build up Russian forces, attack Russia in unprotected areas and destroy critical infrastructure such as logistics centers, ammunition depots, or disrupt Russian events.
