Last month, three men broke into Foothill Firearms, stealing 73 guns in Newcastle, California.

The robbery occurred on July 22, from 1:22 am to 4:07 am.

The suspects used a power tool to cut a hole in the side of the gun store and crawl through.

Once they arrived at the establishment, a suspect carried weapons in several backpacks.

One of them was said to be the lookout and getaway driver.

Surveillance captured the moment the criminals grabbed their firearms and fled in a light-colored sedan.

Weeks after the crime, authorities located and arrested the three culprits on August 6.

According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, the men were arrested in the San Rafael area.

The first alleged accomplice was identified as Tyrone Brennen, 39, who is believed to be the suspect who broke into the building.

Loren Bingham, 41, was also arrested alongside Richard Nosenzo, 57.

When Nosenzo was arrested, authorities claimed the 57-year-old was in possession of one of the stolen guns.

Brennen also possessed two firearms that were stolen during the robbery.

“After identifying the suspects, a Ramey bond warrant was obtained for Brennen,” the sheriff’s office wrote via X.

The three men were booked into the Placer County Jail.

Bingham’s bail was set at $100,000 and he is being held on charges of theft of a firearm, among others.

Nosenzo’s bond was set at $435,000 and he is being held on charges of possession of stolen property and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Although authorities were able to recover some of the stolen guns, Placer County Sheriff Wayne Woo said there are still many people missing.

“Although we have recovered some of these weapons, the majority are still in our communities.

“And unfortunately, due to the changes in Proposition 47, people who are found knowingly in possession of stolen firearms will only be guilty of a misdemeanor.”

PREVIOUS CONVICTIONS

Following the arrest, Sheriff Woo released a statement revealing that all three men had previous convictions.

“Unfortunately, these three suspects are just another example of the failure of criminal justice reform in the state of California,” said Sheriff Woo.

“They are career criminals with gang affiliations.

“And they have convictions for other types of conduct similar to this.”

According to CBS NewsBingham had previous warrants for his arrest, which included robbery.

He is also part of the Norteno gang.

Nosenzo has multiple convictions, including three counts of vehicle theft, passing false checks, robbery, possession of stolen property and theft of a firearm.

In 1995, Nosenzo was also convicted after allegedly escaping from prison.
