A CRASH expert is “almost certain” of the cause of the deadly spiral that saw a plane in Brazil fall from the sky and kill 62 people on board.

The revelation comes as the black box is removed from the wreckage and should provide investigators with conclusive answers.

Accident expert Celso Faria de Souza believes the cause of the accident was almost certainly ice, he told Reuters.

Ice can freeze and build up on wings and propeller blades, impairing an aircraft’s performance by reducing thrust, decreasing lift, and increasing drag.

But Marcelo Moura, director of operations at Voepass, said the icy forecasts were within acceptable levels for the aircraft to fly.

Investigators also began working on the black box to discover the cause of the accident.

The box, which actually has two boxes and an orange, can be seen being opened in images published by local media.

The cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder that make up the black box were recovered from the wreckage yesterday.

A preliminary report on the cause of the accident is expected within 30 days.

Lt. Col. Carlos Henrique Baldi, who was investigating, added that it was too early to determine whether the ice caused the collision.

He said: “The plane is certified in several countries to fly in severe icing conditions, including in countries other than our own where the impact of icing is more significant.”

Plane carrying dozens of passengers crashes with fiery explosion seen after deadly crash

Captain Ross Aimer said Online Mail The cold air disaster may have been caused by engine failure, flight control malfunction, or due to part of the plane crashing mid-flight.

He added that once a jet starts diving into a death spiral, it is “very difficult to get out of it.”

The most likely reason for the problem could have been a stall at low speed, says the captain.

This occurs when the airflow passing through a jet is too slow, meaning the plane can’t lift as it should.

It most commonly occurs when a plane is moving at a slow pace.

It is highly unlikely that the pilot of the fatal flight, 35-year-old Captain Danilo Santos, was the cause.

Romano, from São Paulo, had a lot of experience, accumulating more than 4,500 hours and working as a pilot for more than a decade.

Shocking footage showed the Voepass aircraft in an uncontrollable “death spiral” towards the ground in the state of São Paulo on Friday.

Onlookers were horrified as the out-of-control plane crashed back to earth and crashed into a garden.

The plane was seen in frightening video spinning in circles before the fireball crash left no survivors.

Known as the “death spiral” or “cemetery rotation”, it is not known why the plane entered the fatal dive.

No resident of the house in Vinhedo, São Paulo, was injured.

Flight 2283 took off from Cascavel, Paraná, heading to the main international airport in the city of São Paulo – Guarulhos.

Eight of the dead were doctors and all 62 bodies have now been removed.

Stories also emerged of people who did not board the flight.

The wreckage will also be removed and sent to a special center for investigation.

One person arrived at the check-in counter too late to board their flight, while another missed their flight after going to get a cup of coffee.
