Can you spot this cute groundhog trapped between toys in an arcade claw machine?

People joked that it was related to the famous Punxsutawney Phil — and it was likely another six weeks of summer — after he was rescued.

The cute creature surprised a girl who saw it while visiting the Meadows Family Fun Mini Golf course in Duncansville, Blair County, Pennsylvania.

“My 12-year-old daughter was the first to see this ‘award live,’” Trisha Salome said on Facebook.

“She pointed out the strange discovery to her grandmother, but not before taking a photo and quick video. [it] with the staff.”

THE Pennsylvania Gaming Commission posted a photo of the trapped creature mingling with the toys on August 6.

“Who doesn’t love the claw machine game? They have the best prizes! From a cute stuffed animal to a soccer ball, or maybe rubber duckies, or a groundhog… wait, a WHAT?” the committee joked.

Salvadore Zaffuto, State Forester, was called to free the stricken groundhog.

“When [he] approached the machine, he saw a wave of stuffed animals moving around as the groundhog ran beneath it, so he poked his head out to assess the situation,” the commission said.

“The vending machine company was contacted to unlock the machine, allowing Director Zaffuto to safely capture the groundhog and release it unharmed.”

Photos of the hidden groundhog and its rescue generated many comments from people.

Many were curious to know how the animal got trapped inside the claw machine.

Groundhogs are good climbers, according to The Humane Society of the United States.

The short-sighted — and shy — rodents are preyed upon by coyotes, foxes, weasels, badgers, hawks and eagles.

Several people also said the groundhog reminded them of Punxsutawney Phil.

Every year, Phil appears at Gobbler’s Knob on Groundhog Day, February 2, to predict the beginning of spring or six additional weeks of winter.

“Six more weeks of summer,” suggested one interviewee.

Benefits of Puzzles and Optical Illusions

Researchers have developed many tests to show how various regions of the brain react to puzzles and optical illusions. There are many benefits.

  • Not only are they fun, they also shed light on how our brain interprets visual data.
  • By exercising your brain regularly, you increase your ability to concentrate and observe details.
  • Studies have shown that people who regularly challenge themselves with optical illusions and puzzles see huge improvements in their problem-solving skills, concentration, and attention.
  • Better concentration and attention span can help prevent cognitive decline in old age.
  • Optical illusions can improve vision, allowing you to see small print

“This is now the third most famous groundhog in Pennsylvania!” wrote Megan on Facebook.

Others said the news “made their day”, while one person said they “would have gone broke trying to win this”.
