At least two people were killed and six others were injured in a shooting in Memphis, Tennessee, according to US police.
The incident occurred at a street party in the city, with clips on social media showing panic after shots were fired.
Police said both victims were men and one of the victims was in critical condition. Another of the victims has already been discharged from hospital, police added.
The Memphis Police Department initially said there were 16 victims, including the two men who were killed, but later revised the number, saying it was an “error” likely caused by “multiple victims being reported multiple times.”
Police added that the incident happened at “a block party that was taking place without authorization” and was attended by 200 to 300 people.
At least two suspects are being sought, CBS News reported, citing Memphis Police Acting Chief Cerelyn Davis.
“We believe there are at least two individuals who fired weapons during this incident,” Davis told CBS News.
