Bobby George turns himself in after being wanted on rape and attempted murder charges

Bobby George, owner of Cleveland’s TownHall, REBoL and Barley House, turned himself in after an arrest warrant was issued on Friday, according to reports.

According to Beacon Journal partner News 5 Clevelandthe Cleveland businessman, who also owns several restaurants in Columbuswas wanted on the following criminal charges, according to Cleveland Municipal Court records: one count of attempted murder, one count of rape, four counts of kidnapping, one count of felonious assault and two counts of strangulation.

The alleged events took place over a period from November 2023 to July 2024, with the alleged assaults being reported to police on August 9, records show.

Citing the warrant, News 5 reports that on November 14, 2023, George allegedly pinned a woman to the ground, strangling her and slamming her head into the ground, resulting in post-concussion syndrome.

News 5 further reported that sometime between November 1, 2023 and May 1, 2024, he allegedly followed a woman to her car, demanded she exit the vehicle, pointing a gun at her through the window. He placed the gun in her stomach as soon as she exited the vehicle and walked her back into the house where she fled.

During another incident between June 8 and 10, 2024, George allegedly attempted to kill a woman by “shoving a towel down the victim’s throat and saying ‘Do you think God will help you?’ while she tried to pray in the closet so she wouldn’t die,” according to News 5. He then refused to let the woman leave the residence and strangled and assaulted her.

Sometime between May 1, 2024 and July 31, 2024, News 5 reported that he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who had just gotten out of the shower and on July 27, he allegedly threw a woman who was trying to leave the residence into a closet.
