THIS is the heart-stopping moment that Ukrainian special forces launch a daring ambush on Russian troops as they continue to attack deeper inside Kursk.

Dramatic first-person footage shows Ukraine’s valiant troops dressed in camouflage clothing as they run through the forest hunting Putin’s men with grenades, guns and rockets.

The video shows the heavily armed soldiers attacking through trees as they approach the enemy.

The group of at least six men can be seen firing rapidly at Russian targets and vehicles in the war-torn region of Kursk.

Putin’s troops are then attacked with what appear to be grenades as huge explosions erupt in the fields.

A flash of light can be seen before the Ukrainian Army The Reg team starts moving.

After gaining more ground, the troops launch another attack with what appears to be a mini rocket launcher.

The footage captures the moment the weapon is used as a bright orange explosion shoots towards a Russian truck parked behind some trees.

The engine is quickly ignited as it begins to burn and thick clouds of smoke are sent into the engine. sky.

The vehicle was “very full of enemy personnel”, says the unit’s Telegram post.

With the truck still lit, the troops end the successful ambush by hitting the road and celebrating the attack.

Ukrainian soldiers claim to have managed to burn all equipment and eliminate “enemy personnel within four minutes”.

It is unclear exactly where the troops launched the attack.

Incredible animation shows Russia’s violent invasion of Ukraine as they take over 400 square miles in just ONE WEEK

Kyiv now claims to control 74 settlements in Kusrk – meaning they occupied more territory than Russia took in Ukraine all year.

It took Ukrainian troops just a week to reclaim 400 square miles of enemy soil, as Vlad continues to fight to be the first Russian leader to hand over national territory since World War II.

Thousands of soldiers have entered Russia in reinforced convoys, including tanks and aircraft, since last Tuesday’s mini-invasion.

Latest Ukrainian blitz saw huge drones and kamikaze missiles strikes overnight, when President Volodymyr Zelensky promised to go “even deeper” into Russia.

Some 117 drones hit at least nine regions of Russia – hitting two crucial airfields in Mad Vlad’s territory.

One of them includes the Savasleyka military base in Nizhny Novgorod, home to lethal Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and MiG-31K aircraft used to bomb Ukraine.

An aircraft-style drone was seen in the sky before the attack, with a total of ten “arrivals” reported.

The death toll continues to rise as Putin’s men struggle to halt the Ukrainian advance.

The Ukrainians are also estimated to have captured up to 1,200 rival soldiers in the stunning surge.

Around 130,000 civilians in and around Kursk were also forced to evacuate amid daily missile warnings.

Air strikes have been carried out nightly, with both forces decimating each other at the dams.

Putin’s illegal invasion in 2022 has led to the Kremlin now controlling almost a fifth of Ukrainian territory after two and a half years of fighting.

Ukraine’s surprise push into Russia has been widely seen as an attempt to divert the fighting away from its own territory and save it some valuable time to regroup.

Vlad speculated that the increase was driven “with the help of Western masters” to gain influence at the negotiating table for potential peace talks.

Some Kremlin sources even blamed Britain for the mini-invasion.

The latest attacks on Russia came just days after Putin fought desperately to avoid losing more ground as he reorganized his units.

He reportedly called upon his former bodyguard, Alexei Dyumin, to lead the desperate defense of Kursk as Russian casualties piled up.

Dyumin, 51, now coordinates the Ministry of Defense, security agencies and regional authorities in the race to save Russia.

Dyumin is considered a potential successor to Putin, as the despot highly praises his former protector.

Why did Ukraine invade Russia?

By Ellie Doughty

UKRAINE’S bold invasion of Russia was launched for two main reasons – one aimed at Putin and the other at the West.

A senior Ukrainian official told AFP that the idea behind the attack was to expand Putin’s armies as much as possible by spreading them across different areas.

The senior security official told AFP, on condition of anonymity, that “the objective is to expand the enemy’s positions, inflict maximum losses and destabilize the situation in Russia, as they are unable to protect their own border.”

In addition to representing a huge morale-boosting victory for Ukraine, the invasion also has a second key objective in Kiev’s master plan.

It is a message to Western allies who have closely followed Putin’s war.

Military analyst Franz-Stefan Gady said The Washington Post: “This is definitely a consideration that is really a signal to the West and to Ukrainian allies and partners that Ukraine is still capable of launching offensive operations.

“That Ukraine is capable of conducting quite complex operations in enemy territory.”

Vlad, on the other hand, claims that Ukraine is simply trying to gain leverage in peace negotiations.
