The 16-year-old son of former Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield disappeared Sunday night after running away from the family’s Marin County residence.
Mint Butterfield, the son of Slack’s former CEO, was last seen at home in Bolinas on Sunday at 10 p.m., sheriff’s spokesman Deputy José Suarez said Tuesday.
The teenager was reported missing on Monday at 8:30 am.
Mint is approximately five feet tall, weighs approximately 100 pounds, and has curly, reddish-brown hair with pierced eyebrows.
When Mint was last seen, they were carrying a gray suitcase in their hands and were wearing a black sweater, black boots, and flannel pajama pants.
Authorities and Mint’s family suspect that, after fleeing, Mint headed to the San Francisco area.

Suspicions of where Mint might be
Sergeant Adam Schermerhorn of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said The San Francisco Standard that Mint’s mother, Caterina Fake, reported the young man missing on Monday.
Mint regularly travels to San Francisco’s rough Tenderloin neighborhood, where he has an address, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to Matt Dorsey, a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the teenager is likely in or near the Tenderloin neighborhood.
