SERENA Williams’ stepmother has failed in her bankruptcy bid to dig herself out of a $600,000 money hole – meaning the Williams’ childhood home will be sold to pay for it all.

The result is even more surprising because former stripper Lakeisha Williams managed, for seven years, to avoid selling her $1.4 million mansion to recover her mountain of debt.

It’s the same property she is accused of “stealing” from tennis star father “King Richard” after admitting in court documents that she forged his signature on the property titles to put the house in his name – and then did a loan of US$279 thousand. .

Lakeisha squandered it all with a failed trucking business and “fast food and frivolities,” the paperwork says — but avoided luxury industry foreclosure by filing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy three times, all of which have now failed.

She kept messing up her $10,000-a-month repayment plan due to “doubtful creditor” David Simon – with that debt reaching $620,000 at one stage, including legal fees and interest.

Now, Judge Mindy Mora has granted the bankruptcy trustee’s request to have her third bankruptcy filing dismissed without prejudice, according to court documents.

Lakeisha will lose the court protection – which prevented the foreclosure of the Palm Beach Gardens, Florida property – with Simon getting most of the money from the sale – the rest will be split between more than 20 other creditors.

Currently, there is nothing stopping you from immediately filing for Chapter 13 again, but doing so would add more legal and court costs.

She would also have to prove that her situation has changed and can afford to maintain a repayment plan.

If Lakeisha files again, her automatic stay – protection from creditors – will only last 30 days.

Meanwhile, tennis coach Richard, 81, who has suffered two strokes and has dementia, filed for divorce in 2017 after realizing his home had been “robbed”.

Seven years later, the divorce is still dragging on in the courts.

Richard initially purchased the Palm Beach home for $355,000 with ex-wife Oracene in 1995.

In lender Simon’s statement to the courts, he revealed that Lakeisha initially approached him for a loan after seeing a “for sale” sign on his $79,000 Volvo semi-tractor.

According to court documents, Simon would only sell the truck to Lakeisha if she had property as collateral, which was in Richard’s name, so Lakeisha allegedly transferred the deeds into her name, forging her husband’s signature.

The truck was repossessed by Simon in June 2018 after breaking in half in Long Island City, 1,200 miles from his home, causing $30,000 in damage.

MARRIAGE REVELATIONS

The case, which has been ongoing since April 2017, revealed jaw-dropping allegations about Lakeisha and Richard’s tumultuous marriage.

Court documents from Lakeisha’s deposition showed that she had forged Williams’ signature once so she could sell her 1999 Bluebird Wanderlodge Motor Coach, worth $45,000, to buy food for herself and her son Dylan, now eight. .

“Mostly, I was broken by my husband [who] it didn’t help me. It was me and my son who didn’t make any money, so I had to sell it so I could eat and my son could eat… we had nothing,” she said.

She claimed to have no idea that Williams wanted a divorce, saying they lived together as a married couple until May 2017, when he suddenly served her with “dissolution papers.”

She reveals that the day he filed for divorce, he even gave her a kiss and prayed with her in the morning.

“He just came and gave me a kiss that morning, the morning of [the divorce filing] and he… shared with me to pray, you know, to always pray for our family and then he left with Chavoita”, she said in her statement.

‘ELDER ABUSE’ CLAIM

Richard’s son, Chavoita Lesane, has previously accused Lakeisha of stealing his vehicles, social security checks and forging documents.

He also threatened to file an elder abuse case against her, which has yet to materialize.

He told The US Sun in an exclusive interview: “I don’t remember how long it’s been in the relationship since my dad started having financial headaches, like, ‘What’s going on with my Social Security checks?’

Chavoita said, “We’re just putting it all together, it’s a lot. This whole situation has been frustrating.”

The US Sun has reached out to Lakeisha’s attorney for comment.
