Sightings of a “Skunk Ape” creature have reportedly increased in a major US state.

It was noted that the supposed beast, which was apparently seen in Florida, had a pungent smell and one researcher insisted that its existence had never been disproved.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission shared that this “disgusting” smell supposedly resembled rotten eggs or feces.

The commission also shared the last three locations where the beast could have been seen, according to the CBS affiliate. WKMG-TV.

February 2021 was the month of the last reported sighting at Seaqall’s Point in Martin County.

Another reported sighting was observed in January 2021 in Inverness, Citric County, and in July 2020 in Naples, Collier County.

The commission said there is no evidence to suggest the Skunk Ape is real.

A spokesperson suggested that these sightings could actually have been wild animals such as bears and pigs that had been misidentified.

Despite this, a researcher and founder of Skunk Ape Research Headquarters argued that the creatures could still be proven to be real.

Dave Shealy made a viral video in 2000 that appeared to show a Skunk Ape-like creature.

“The animal is running in about two feet of water and as fast as a deer,” Shealy said.

The researcher argued that the beast could still be real.

“And it has never been refuted or considered a hoax,” he said.

“And in fact, when people come here to see the area, they always leave because it’s a very treacherous area to enter.”

Shealy also revealed the apparent access point for these mysterious beings.

“If you’re going down I-4 and you get to, I believe, I-95, turn left and go north,” he said.

What is Bigfoot?

Here’s what you need to know…

  • Bigfoot, or Sasquatch, is considered by some to be a bipedal, furry, ape-like creature.
  • They are said to live in the wilds of North America, appearing from a distance or leaving footprints
  • Bigfoot ‘hotspots’ are generally found in the Pacific Northwest, particularly the states of Oregon, Washington and British Columbia
  • Some believe Bigfoot is the missing link between humans and other great apes
  • Top scientists tend to believe Bigfoot is little more than folklore
  • Most theories surrounding Bigfoot suggest that these are sightings of other large animals, rather than a new species of ape.
  • Descriptions of Bigfoot suggest the animal is between 6 and 9 feet tall
  • Bigfoot is generally described as being covered in dark hair and leaving behind enormous footprints up to two feet long.

“Right there – at the end of the I-4 corridor, where it meets I-95, there’s a real hive of activity. And it has been like that for the last few years.”

The Skunk Ape wasn’t the only unconfirmed being to cause a frenzy in the US.

An author warned about a Bigfoot-like creature that could be on the move, The US Sun previously reported.

Bruce Hallenback claimed the legendary Kinderhook creature tormented residents in upstate New York.

Hallenback stated that his own family had horrific experiences with the supposed creature, including miserable screams and dead coyotes in trees.

The author suggested that the beast could be on the move because reports in his region had dropped.

Researcher Dave Shealy insisted the creature had not been disproven and revealed where the hotspot for spotting it was.
