The most tattooed woman in the world has announced that she will tattoo her eyeballs again after going blind for the first time.
Amber Luke, 29, had a dangerous procedure in the past that left her without vision for three weeks.
The Australian, known to her friends as “Blue Eyed White Dragon”, spent £20,000 on more than 600 tattoos.
In addition to her intricate tattoos, Amber spent a further $70,000 on extreme body modifications – including tongue splitting, breast augmentation, cheek and lip fillers, spiked implants placed in her ears and a Brazilian butt lift.
In 2020, Amber endured the terrifying 40-minute ordeal in a bid to dye her eyeballs bright blue.
And now the tattooed beauty is giving the operation another try, despite the first attempt going wrong.
“The reason I’m doing this is because I was so bad in the first place that I don’t ever want to experience this again,” she told Triple M WA breakfast host Robbie Von.
“People say, ‘Why on earth would you go through that again, knowing it could be a risk?’
The Instagram star revealed that the last time a tattoo artist “went too deep” into her eyeball, which caused temporary blindness and agony.
She said at the time: “I can’t even begin to describe how it felt, the best thing I can give you is that once the eyeball was penetrated by the paint it felt like [the tattoo artist] I took 10 pieces of glass and rubbed it on my eye.
“This happened four times per eye, it was pretty brutal. Unfortunately, my artist went too deep into my eyeball.”
Amber, however, expressed her excitement to try again as she is expected to change her eyeball color to a unique shade.
She said: “I’m adding two pins of black paint to each eyeball. My eyes are completely blue at the moment, with my brown irises.
“It will look like the effect of a nebula galaxy on an eyeball.”
The “dragon girl” already had her teeth shaved to points and admitted that they were sharp enough to pierce the skin.
She altered the canine teeth at the top of her mouth to look like vampire fangs and extended them further down so they were more visible.
Amber began experimenting with body modifications at age 16, after being diagnosed with depression and developing insecurities.
In her old photos, the Instagram star may look like a Barbie with blonde hair and a slim figure – but she admitted to “hating everything” about herself back then.
Now more confident when it comes to her appearance, Amber isn’t intimidated by the mixed reactions she often receives from strangers or what other people think about her unconventional look.
“I’m not hurting anyone,” she said. “I’m doing what I want and if that makes me wake up in the morning and be a happy person, so be it.”
