He also claims to be in a relationship on his social media channels.
This is not Parks’ first crime – he has been arrested before.
In 2013, Parks was charged with theft of services after boarding an MTA bus without paying.
However, his crimes later turned violent.
On October 14, 2018, he was charged with third-degree assault and criminal mischief in the Bronx after allegedly hitting a woman several times and jumping on her during an escalating argument.
“I definitely think he’s done this before,” said an anonymous Bronx detective, as reported by New York Post Office.
“It was very clean. Usually the first time they make huge mistakes. This was not a mistake. This guy was accurate,” they added.
“There are probably more victims out there, but what happens is they pass out and don’t remember anything,” the detective said.
“How do you get the belt around your neck perfectly like that?”
Parks was wearing a white Tyvek jumpsuit when he was taken from the Bronx Special Victims Division unit to a car.
He ignored the reporters’ questions, lowering his head.
He is currently awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Police had previously released footage showing the moments leading up to the heinous attack on Friday, May 3, asking local residents to help them identify and locate Parques.
What happened to the Bronx rape victim?
The NYPD confirmed that the victim, a 45-year-old woman from the Bronx, is currently recovering from the violent assault.
The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared her story with the media to “protect other women in the area,” as reported by NBC 4 News.
“He choked me with a belt because he wanted to demand sex from me in exchange for money,” she said.
“And I said no and kept walking.”
“Then he grabbed me from behind with a suffocating belt and dragged me to the ground, near the cars, and raped me,” the victim added.
The victim said that although Kashaan Parks remained quiet during the attack, she was later able to identify him by his teeth.
“Our victim indicated that he had seen him before,” explained Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny, as reported by I’m NY.
“She actually described his teeth to us; he had unusual teeth,” Kenny added.
“She said he has a gap between his teeth,” he added.
The victim also told reporters that he “blacked out” during the attack and only woke up about 20 minutes later, when he got up and sought help.
“I got up and talked to some neighbors to give me some advice on what to do.”
“So I went to the hospital and got a rape kit, and they gave me some shots and stuff. And so I went to the police station and reported it.”
The victim walked to Lincoln Hospital, a trauma center about four blocks from where the attack occurred.
The victim also revealed that she is still afraid of Parks, who she said is “known in the neighborhood.”
“I’m worried, I’m very scared because he could show up at any moment and do something to someone again,” she said.
She also revealed that this wasn’t the first time Parks committed an attack like this — it’s just the first time it was captured on video and the first time he was arrested for such an attack.
“It’s not the first time he’s done this to a woman. It’s like it’s the second time he’s done this to a woman,” she said.
