FANS of an iconic sports radio broadcaster have mourned his death after a battle with cancer.

Mark ‘From Gastonia’ Baker became a beloved talker on Charlotte, North Carolina radio station WFNZ.

Baker received a cancer diagnosis from doctors in February after doctors discovered a tumor.

Radio station co-host Travis Hancock shared a tribute to Baker on X, formerly Twitter.

“He is a person who ran his own race. At his own pace,” Hancock said in his publish.

“Every day was valued and when life was difficult he never stopped being a beautiful soul.”
