BODYCAM footage was released hours after the devastating moments rescuers arrived as the Baltimore bridge collapsed.
The video, released by the Maryland Natural Resources Police, captured the moments when authorities arrived at the scene of the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which left six people dead.
First responders arrived at the scene around 3:43 a.m. local time.
As soon as they managed to get close enough to the wreckage, authorities began shining a light to see the damage caused by the Dali cargo ship.
“It looks like it could be a road, a vehicle path, but for road maintenance it looked like someone running on water,” said one person during the assessment.
Parts of the bridge could be seen hanging from the ship as they tried to assess the damage.

More officials were seen arriving by boat to help with the efforts.
Since the devastation occurred, it has been revealed that prior to the accident, the cargo ship was experiencing multiple blackouts.
The Cargo Dali had two blackouts the day before the accident and two after they disabled the equipment, according to a preliminary report issued by the National Transportation Safety Board.
It was revealed that on March 25, authorities wrote that the first blackout was caused by a crew member who at the time was working on part of a diesel engine.
The second blackout at the port “was related to insufficient fuel pressure,” he said.
“The NTSB is still investigating the electrical configuration following the first blackout at the port and the potential impacts on events during the accident voyage,” the report said.
After midnight on March 26, both the Maryland Pilots Association senior pilot and apprentice pilot visited the ship, where they were informed that its condition was “in working order.”
