If you know the first cardinal rule of perm maintenance and the importance of a scented resume, you’ll be excited about Reese Witherspoon’s latest arrivals.

The Hollywood star has announced a prequel series to her hit 2001 film, Legally Blonde, which will be released in 2025.

Wearing a hot pink suit and pale pink stilettos (because whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed), Witherspoon shared details on his social media channels.

The television series will follow her character, Elle Woods, as a schoolgirl in the 1990s, before the events of Legally Blonde and its 2003 sequel.

In a video shared on Instagram, Witherspoon can be seen getting dressed and applying pink lipstick before brandishing a “top secret” scented script before an Amazon Prime Video presentation to advertisers, soundtracked by Perfect Day, one of the songs from the movie.

Legally Blonde Life Lessons from Elle Woods

On the Bend and Snap flirting technique: “In my experience, it has a 98% success rate in getting a man’s attention, and when used appropriately has an 83% return rate on a dinner invitation.”

On how knowing about your hair can win you a court case: “The rules of hair care are simple and finite. Any Cosmo girl would have known that.”

On being comfortable using legal jargon in everyday life, for example, when responding to an unsolicited whistle: “I object!”

On not judging a book by its cover: “Remember that first impressions are not always correct. You should always have faith in people. And most importantly, you should always have faith in yourself.”

On not needing a man: “If I’m going to be a partner in a law firm when I’m 30, I’m going to need a boyfriend who’s not such a jerk.”

And on fighting for your right to a irritation-free existence: “I’ve heard that the maintenance staff is changing our toilet paper from Charmin… to generic. All those who object to irritations, please say ‘ Yeah’. “.

“Before she became the most famous Gemini vegetarian to graduate from Harvard Law, she was just a normal ’90s high school girl,” Witherspoon wrote. “And you all will meet her next year on @primevideo. I’M SO EXCITED!”

Witherspoon will serve as executive producer on the Prime Video series, which will be called Elle.
