Clients of a chiropractic office are distraught after a hidden camera is discovered inside a public restroom.
The camera was found at The Joint Chiropractic, located on McBean Parkway in Valencia.
“I kind of freaked out, like, what is this?” said the worker who discovered the camera. “I took photos, put them in my pocket and went to reception.”
The small video camera was found recorded inside a closet located in front of the bathroom. It was connected to a power bank and likely provided live video to whoever planted the camera.
“It was 3 by 3, very small and black, so it matched very well,” noted the worker who did not want to be identified. “I didn’t know what to do at that moment.”
The public bathroom is typically used by staff and patients, some of whom are children.
“The kids go in that bathroom,” she said. “Women, men, a mix of people go into that bathroom. I don’t know why anyone would do that.”
The woman said the camera was pointed specifically in one direction to capture anyone sitting on the toilet.
“It was pointed directly at the bathroom, so they definitely intended to record people using the bathroom, people’s private parts,” she said.
The incident was reported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating the case as a possible invasion of privacy.
