JOE Biden avoided disaster after slightly tripping on stage during an event at the US Capitol on Wednesday.

The 81-year-old president’s left foot narrowly touched a step as he walked to the stage to deliver a speech at the National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service in Washington DC.

Biden he briefly lost his balance but managed to regain his balance before taking the podium in front of dozens of soldiers.

The president ignored the sob and began to make his comments, paying tribute to the families of the police officers who died in the line of duty.

“There is no greater responsibility of government than ensuring the safety of the American people and those who sacrifice to protect us all,” Biden said.

The Republican National Committee mocked the Democratic president, resharing the video and posting it on a Xformer Twitter, posted, “Biden travels (again) as he is led on stage at the National Peace Officers Memorial Service.”

Biden’s latest mishap occurred on the same day he challenged donald trumpthe presumptive Republican presidential nominee, to a series of debates ahead of the November elections.

Both parties agreed to a June 27 debate on CNN and a September 10 showdown on ABC.

With the country seemingly on track for a repeat of the 2020 presidential election, many Americans believe Biden is unfit for a second term.

At least 15% of American voters believe the current president is mentally and physically unfit for office, according to a poll by Pew Research Center.

If Biden is re-elected, he will turn 86 at the end of a second four-year term.

In fact, Biden has suffered many bumps during his presidency.

The president struggled several times to maintain his balance, repeatedly tripped on the steps of Air Force One and took a hard fall on stage at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in June 2023.
