Everything culminates in this moment. The English Premier League title will be on the line for two clubs, Manchester City and Arsenal, based on the final games of the season on Sunday.

The scenario is simple: if Man City defeats West Ham at home, they will be champions for the fourth consecutive season. If they draw or lose in a shock upset and Arsenal beat Everton, the Gunners will reign supreme for the first time since 2003-04.

Here’s what you need to know before the final day of the EPL season.

What to know before ‘Championship Sunday’

  • Time: All EPL matches begin at 11am ET
  • How to watch Manchester City vs West Ham: NBC/Pavão
  • How to watch Arsenal vs Everton: US/Peacock Network

How Every Team Could Win the EPL Title

Manchester City (27-7-3) would win with:

  • Victory against West Ham or…
  • Arsenal x Everton draw/defeat

Arsenal (27-5-5) would win with:

  • Victory against Everton and…
  • Manchester City draw/defeat vs West Ham

Note: If Arsenal win and Manchester City draw, both teams would finish on 89 points and Arsenal would win the title on goal difference. This has only happened once before, in 2011-12.

Man City in search of history

This is one of the most dominant runs in Premier League history. Here’s why:

  • It would be Man City’s fourth consecutive Premier League title, something no team in history has achieved.
  • The championship would also be their sixth in the last seven seasons, a feat no team had achieved before.
  • Manager Pep Guardiola would win his 12th league title in 15 seasons as manager. That would tie Liverpool’s Bob Paisley and Aston Villa’s George Ramsay for the second most of all time. Number 1 is Sir Alex Ferguson’s 13 titles at Manchester United.

Will the invincibility continue?

  • Man City are unbeaten in a club-record 34 matches in all competitions (28-6-0). Their last defeat was on December 6th against Aston Villa (1-0 PL defeat).
  • They are unbeaten in their last 22 Premier League games (18-4-0), including eight straight wins (outscoring opponents 30-5 in that run).
  • Man City are also unbeaten in a club-record 43 home games in all competitions (36-7-0). Was it your last home defeat in a competition? November 12, 2022, against Brentford (1.5 years ago).
  • They are also unbeaten against West Ham in their last 16 EPL games (13-3-0).

Arsenal on the brink of greatness

This is Arsenal’s best season since “The Invincibles” went unbeaten in 2003-04.

  • His 27 wins and 89 goals are the most in the club’s history in a single season.
  • The Gunners have allowed just 28 goals this season, the fewest in the EPL. That’s five goals less than the second best team: Man City, with 33.
  • Their 18 clean sheets are the most in the EPL, five more than the next best team.
  • Mikel Arteta (42 years and 54 days old on Sunday) is looking to become the youngest manager to win the league.
