Tributes have poured in for Alice Stewart after a CNN commentator was found dead in her home on Saturday morning.

Many spoke out about the Republican correspondent after she died suddenly at age 58 in her Virginia home.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, however, police do not suspect foul play.

Authorities believe Stewart may have suffered a medical emergency, CNN reported.

Stewart’s sister-in-law, Vikki Fraker, spoke out about Stewart on social media following the news of his death.

“To our wonderful farming community, Eric’s sister, Alice Stewart, passed away suddenly Friday night. We are heartbroken. Thank you for keeping Eric, Andrea and Heather in your prayers,” she said. he wrote On Instagram.

Stewart was a local TV anchor before moving into politics and becoming communications director for former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee.

She worked on his campaign and later transitioned to helping other Republican candidates with their own political ventures, including Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, and Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.

In 2016, she joined CNN during the presidential campaign and quickly became a fixture.

On Saturday, the network released a statement following the news of his death.

“Alice was a friend and colleague to all of us at CNN,” CNN President Mark Thompson said in a statement.
