AT LEAST nine people were killed and 50 injured after a stage collapsed at an election rally in Mexico last night.
Terrifying footage captured the moment strong winds toppled scaffolding as the crowd fled.

The victims so far are eight adults and one child, said Nuevo Leon state governor Samuel Garcia.
Video of the accident showed the structure suddenly falling into the crowd, sending politicians on stage running for cover and panicked attendees scattering.
Governor Garcia warned residents to stay home amid strong storms in the region.
Jorge Alvarez Maynez, presidential candidate for the centrist Citizens Movement party, was holding a rally in the city of San Pedro Garza Garcia.
“I have never experienced something so sudden,” said Maynez, who was injured in the incident along with members of his election team.
He added that he would remain at the scene until the last injured person was taken to hospital.
Members of the Mexican national guard and army were on site to provide support.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said he was sending “a hug to the families, friends of the victims and political supporters.”
On June 2, Mexicans will vote for a new president, as well as members of Congress, several state governors and local officials.
