Police sources say they suspect that Borroni, 40, committed suicide, but are awaiting the results of the autopsy.

The travel influencer was best known by his social media username “Un Leon Viajero,” which means “A Traveling Lion” in English.

Borroni is believed to have sent farewell messages to his loved ones after his home was raided on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation.

Pedophile material was reportedly discovered on his electronic devices.

Borroni was found dead on Friday.

Another five men and one woman aged between 20 and 50 were also implicated in the criminal investigation.

One was described locally as a physical education teacher and the other as an employee at a technology company.

Borroni was found dead hours after appearing before a judge and being told he was under investigation as part of an ongoing investigation into human trafficking and sexual abuse. He was then released on bail.

The influencer is believed to have refused to answer questions about the child pornography allegedly found.

Argentine authorities received a tip from a US-based agency specializing in combating child exploitation, which looked into suspects allegedly producing homemade child pornography.

Several search warrants were approved and executed near Buenos Aires.

Borroni was not facing allegations of being behind the production of the disgusting images, which allegedly included victims under the age of 13 of sexual abuse by older men and women.

But he is believed to be under investigation on suspicion of illegal possession and distribution of child pornography.

He had not been formally charged with any crime before he was found dead.

Borroni had 164,000 followers on Instagram, where he posted photos of motorcycle trips to places like Ecuador, Venezuela and French Guiana.

He has more than 140,000 subscribers on his two YouTube channels and another 137,000 followers on TikTok.

In a recent video, he became confused as he entered Suriname, the smallest country in South America, and realized he was driving on the left.

He admitted: “It’s very difficult to co-coordinate this” before adding: “I like what I’ve seen in Suriname so far, much more than what I’ve seen in French Guiana. There’s more life in it.”

A follower wrote on his YouTube page, without waiting to know the result of the investigation in which Borroni was implicated, saying: “The madman seemed dead. It appears he committed suicide.

You never know what people are hiding.

“God bless those who fight against the world’s sins and the children who are victims of these people.”
