The sister of the terrified Israeli teenager who was threatened with rape by Hamas butchers has revealed her brother’s latest chilling message.
Sasha Ariev, 24, received the final text from her only sister Karina Ariev, 19, moments before her brother was kidnapped and taken hostage in Gaza by Hamas men.
Last week, a shocking video emerged showing the five youngest Hamas hostages in Gaza – including Karina – being tortured by brutal captors who constantly hurled sickening insults at the teenagers.
The horrific video even showed a Hamas terrorist pointing at Karina – who was kidnapped from her bed in her snooping pajamas – saying: “Here are girls, women, who can get pregnant.
He added coldly in Arabic: “You are so beautiful.”
Just moments before the video was recorded, Karina managed to send her final message to Sasha from a terrorist camp inside Gaza.
Sasha has now revealed that her sister encouraged her to look after her parents and stay strong.
The neuroscience student, who has now taken a break from her life to bring her only sister back home, added that she could see the terror in Karina’s eyes – and revealed that she might have thought “this could be the end”.
Speaking to the Daily Mailshe said, “I could see the understanding in her eyes, and a few minutes later she sent me a text saying that if she didn’t leave, if she didn’t make it out alive, she asked me to keep our parents safe and to be strong and not wallow in sadness, but continue living.
“That’s who we are. We’re strong and that’s the bond between us and how we keep this family together.”
The horrific footage is believed to have been filmed after Hamas men invaded parts of Israel and kidnapped hundreds of people in the horrific October 7 attacks.
The agonizing decision to release the video was made by Karina’s parents, as well as the parents of 19-year-old Liri Albag, 19-year-old Naama Levy, 19-year-old Daniela Gilboa, 20-year-old Agam Berger, as well as their daughters They haven’t returned home yet.
Families are calling on mediators to resume talks and bring their children home as they have now shared the most graphic photographs of their daughters to date.
The IDF altered the three-minute footage to protect the identities of those who were killed.
Despite months of agonizing pain, Sasha says it has now become her mission to get her sister back.
She said: “I’m doing everything I can to bring Karina back alive as soon as possible. And only then will I allow myself to cry. Only tears of joy.”
This comes after Hamas launched a series of rocket attacks against Israel for the first time in months, forcing civilians to flee their homes.
Rocket sirens sounded loudly in Tel Aviv after eight missiles were launched from Gaza, with photos showing Israel’s famous Iron Dome intercepting several of them mid-air.
Hamas announced that it had targeted Israel’s largest city, saying: “We fired a large volley at Tel Aviv in response to the Zionist massacres of civilians.”
The barrage of missiles is thought to have come from the city of Rafah, where Israel has been constantly bombarding with attacks as it seeks to end the bloody war.
Rocket sirens sounded today around Tel Aviv, Herzliya and Petah Tikva, as petrified residents were forced to take cover as rockets flew overhead.
A few days ago, Israel was instructed to immediately cease its operation in Rafah, a southern part of the Gaza Strip where countless Palestinians have taken refuge.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) said the humanitarian crisis in Rafah had “further deteriorated” and the situation was now “disastrous”.
ICJ President Nawaf Salam said: “Israel must immediately halt its military offensive.”
The global court accused Israel of limiting aid to Gaza, which it denies.
ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan has requested arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged war crimes in the Strip.
Hamas leaders were also included in requests for international warrants.
The attack on Rafah in recent weeks comes as the IDF seeks to seek out and destroy any last remnants of Hamas so that the war can end.
Israel says the city is Hamas’ last major stronghold in the Gaza Strip.
They have been “eliminating terrorists” and “terrorist infrastructures” with hundreds of “terrorist targets” already being hit.
Repeated airstrikes have also been taking place since early May, with three “significant” tunnel shafts also being found.
Military tanks surrounded the entire eastern half of the city filled with refugees as the planned attack began.
The remaining hostages are believed to still be held underground within Hamas’ network of safe houses.
Israel said around 120 hostages were still held in Rafah, with pressure mounting for them to be finally saved after more than 230 days.
Many of them include young girls and elderly people.
Netanyahu says his country will continue to “fight with its claws”, despite international authorities calling for a ceasefire.
The death toll from Israel’s military operation in Gaza has now surpassed at least 35,000 Palestinian civilians, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
