Bruce Springsteen cancels shows over ‘vocal issues’ | Ents & Arts News

Bruce Springsteen has canceled a string of dates due to “vocal issues”, days after performing in what he described as “hellish” weather in Sunderland.

He American starThe 74-year-old has postponed shows in Marseille, Prague and Milan over the next fortnight, and his European tour will resume in Madrid on June 12.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, he said he was “recovering comfortably” and that he and the E Street Band “look forward to resuming their successful European stadium tour.”

After “additional examinations” and “consultations,” according to the statement, doctors determined that Bruce “should not perform for the next 10 days.”

Springsteen had played at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Wednesday, where he admitted the weather was particularly wet.

Springsteen also delighted the crowd with his song Thunder Road, after Sir Paul McCartney presented him with his Ivors Academy scholarship.

New dates for their postponed shows will be announced shortly, according to their Instagram account, and anyone who requests a refund “will be able to get it at their original point of purchase.”

He dates rescheduled in August last year in the US after he fell ill and canceled planned concerts in March 2023 due to other issues.

On his first major tour in six years, he headlined London’s Hyde Park in July 2023.
