Horrifying footage shows the wreckage of the bus after it fell off the bridge on Wednesday.

According to reports, Pakistani authorities said that 22 more were injured following the accident.

The tragic accident happened in Washuk, western Pakistan, this morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and took the injured to a nearby hospital.

Around 22 of these people later succumbed to their injuries.

Some who are in critical condition had to be taken to another hospital in the large city of Quetta.

Images from the scene show the overturned bus lying in the embankment.

The bus was taking people from Gwadar to Quetta.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared his condolences with the families of those who died.

He said: “We support the bereaved families at this difficult time and express our deepest condolences.”

In early May, another passenger bus crashed in Pakistan, leaving at least 20 people dead and another 21 injured.

In eerily similar circumstances, he also drove off a road and fell into a rocky ravine.

A huge government rescue mission was launched with army helicopters to help.
