Iranian terrorist cells are planning attacks across Europe ahead of the Paris Olympics, Israel has warned.

Israel’s spy agency said in a rare statement that Iran is increasing its support for groups such as Foxtrot, which has been linked to assassinations and large-scale drug trafficking.

The Mossad agency today alleged that Iran is behind a series of terrorist attacks on Israeli embassies seen in Europe since October 7th.

It stated that the country is currently financing and directing at least two criminal groups, namely Foxtrot and Rumba – both of which were “directly responsible for violent activity and the promotion of terrorism in Sweden and across Europe”.

Iran supported an airsoft grenade attack launched against the Israeli embassy in Belgium last Friday, the Mossad said, and another incident in Sweden on May 17, when gunshots were heard near the Israeli embassy.

Israel alleged that the Rumba gang, led by Ismail Abdo, was behind the shootings near the Israeli embassy in Sweden.

But he said that the criminal network Foxtrot carried out an attack in January, where a “grenade” was found – but did not explode – on the premises of the Israeli embassy, at the request of Tehran.

The weapon was immediately destroyed by the Swedish bomb squad.

Foxtrot, led by Rawa Majid, also known as the Kurdish Fox, is Sweden’s largest criminal organization, but operates across Europe.

It is known for allegedly committing large-scale murders and drug trafficking, and has been linked to shootings and bombings.

Last year Sweden became a bloodbath plagued by executions, bombings and child soldiers, fueled by leaders like the Kurdish Fox.

Drug lord Foxtrot was recruited by Iranian agents after he fled Turkey for Iran in September, allegedly evading Iraqi security forces and international authorities.

He was arrested by Iran and recruited to plan attacks in Europe against Jewish and Israeli targets, the Mossad said.

Israel claimed that it has been working with Iran for months.

The Swedish security service Säpo said on Thursday that Iran had been carrying out attacks inside the country for several years.

A statement released by Säpo said: “Iran has previously used violence in other European countries with the aim of silencing critical voices and perceived threats to its own regime.

“To carry out these security-threatening activities, the Iranian regime has occasionally turned to criminal networks.

“The security police can confirm that this also happens in Sweden.

“In Sweden, the Security Police have dealt in recent years with several concrete cases in which assassination plots linked to the Iranian security services were prevented, where, among other things, criminal networks were used as proxies.”

Daniel Stenling, head of counterintelligence at Säpo, said there was a significant risk that Iran would strike again in Sweden.

Mossad began investigating alleged links between Iran and the terrorist attacks, along with European intelligence agencies, after the grenade was found at the Israeli embassy in Stockholm.

Sweden’s descent into gang violence

By Jessica Baker

SWEDEN’S reputation as a safe nation took a hit last year when gangland shootings and bombings ravaged its cities.

Executions and bomb attacks were rampant as child soldiers roamed the streets and innocent bystanders, including a 12-year-old girl, were shot to death by gangs.

The nation has long struggled with gang violence, but the rise in crime last year – fueled by people like the Kurdish Fox – was exceptional.

In August, a 14-year-old boy was tragically found dead in a forest, while shootings and bombings targeted houses and apartments.

Detectives said they suspected some of the violence was organized by international criminal leaders based in countries including Turkey and Serbia.

More than 50 people have died in shootings in 2023 and more than 140 explosions have occurred.

The previous year there were more than 60 deaths as a result of armed violence – the highest number ever recorded.
