A POPULAR creator was forced to apologize after his sister appeared to have assaulted actor Michael Rainey Jr.
Rainey Jr., who is best known for his appearance as Tariq St. Patrick on Power, abruptly left Tylil James’ Twitch stream on Sunday night shortly after it began.
“Following the actions that occurred during the broadcast last night, I would like to sincerely apologize to Michael and his team. family for what happened,” Tylil wrote in an Instagram story.
“My younger sister was completely wrong and crossed the line. What she did was very inappropriate and unacceptable.
“I am truly embarrassed and disgusted by her actions. I completely respect whatever direction Michael wants to go in this situation.”
The actor appeared alongside Tylil and a group of people, including Tylil’s sister Jahgee, who stood next for Rainey Jr.
Jahgee appeared to approach Rainey Jr. and place his hands on him, however, the action was blocked by others in the room.
Viewers say Rainey Jr. looked uncomfortable and seemed to pull Jahgee away from him.
He looked across the room as another man appeared off-screen and asked Rainey Jr.
Tylil, who did not see the interaction between his sister and Rainey Jr., asked what happened, but the other man said he would tell her later.
“We can’t tell you on this broadcast,” the man said as he put his arm around Rainey Jr., who was laughing nervously.
The actor then left the stream, leaving Tylil to address the audience.
“I’m literally trying to ignore this shit,” Tylil said.
“O energy changed and [Rainey Jr.] I got up and left.”
He added that when people come to his house he tries his best to show hospitality, but this was the first time his sister had been around a celebrity and he explained that she didn’t know how to act.
“That’s my sister, so I’m not going to say anything bad about her, but I’m going to check on her,” Tylil said.
However, Tylil viewers said the streamer appeared to ignore the incident after the fact.
“Tylil should have ended the broadcast right when Michael and them left,” wrote one person on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Because your first statement sounds like you didn’t care, you cared that he was gone and couldn’t use him for content anymore.”
“This is such disgusting behavior omg,” another person wrote.
Tylil said he was surprised by his sister’s actions after watching the clip.
“I will take extreme precautions with future streams to avoid similar problems and banned her from participating in future flows.
“I do not tolerate any type of aggression.”
The US Sun has reached out to representatives for Rainey and Tylil James for comment and attempted to contact Jahgee, but it appears she has deleted or deactivated her social media accounts.
