Governor Greg Abbott attended the opening of the record-breaking new facility along with other local officials.

“As the state’s biggest ‘beaver nugget’ fan, I’m proud that Texas is home to the best convenience store in the world,” he said in a statement.

“Texas is proud to be the home base of Buc-ee’s growing empire,” the governor continued.

“Buc-ee’s is just one important piece of the bigger, better Texas economy that we are building for generations to come.”

The new location was built in place of a 21-year-old location known as the “first family travel center” that opened in 2003, according to the company.

It also increases the total number of Buc-ee’s travel centers – which has more than two-thirds of its locations in the Lone Star State – to 49.

“This was the first travel center we built, but we outgrew the store and needed to build a new one,” Arch Alpin, co-founder of Buc-ee’s, said in a statement.

The large showcase will feature “thousands of snack, meal and drink options”, according to a report from Fox Business.

The opening of the world’s largest Buc-ee’s comes just one year after the opening of the world’s smallest, located about 370 miles west of Sanderson, Texas.

“We are excited to open the doors to the largest Buc-ee’s travel center in the world, right here in the great state of Texas,” said Stan Beard, the company’s director of real estate and development.

“It’s particularly exciting considering it was Buc-ee who started it all, so we’re really looking forward to celebrating with the amazing people of Luling.”

The news comes as the chain announces the opening of a new location in Kentucky this summer.

This location would net 50 for the chain once it opens on June 24th.

The Buc-ee was first launched in Clute, Texas in 1982.

But since 2019, Buc-ee’s has been on a multistate expansion.

Since then, the chain has opened centers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Colorado, Virginia and Mississippi.

The Tennessee location, which was previously the largest Buc-ee’s in the world before the new Texas location, also boasted the world’s largest car wash, with 255 feet of conveyor belt.

“We are so excited to celebrate the opening of our newest travel center on this beautiful stretch of I-65 between Nashville and Louisville,” said Stan Beard, director of real estate and development at Buc-ee. Tennessee.

“[The location] It may be small, but the community has welcomed us with as much love and enthusiasm as our larger cities, so we’re excited to be here and see this partnership grow,” he added.

Both locations in Texas and Kentucky will bring at least 200 jobs to the area, with starting salaries starting “well above” minimum wage, full benefits, 6% 401k matching and three weeks of paid vacation, according to a statement from the current .
