Congressional baseball game descended into chaos as field invaders disrupted game with ‘several arrests’ at Nationals Park

The annual congressional baseball game was interrupted after a group of protesters stormed the field.

The game was stopped at Nationals Park in Washington DC after a group of about seven people entered the field.

Police on hand approached climate change protesters dressed in End Fossil Fuels T-shirts almost immediately, according to witnesses posting on X, formerly Twitter.

This is not the first time the annual game has been targeted.

In 2017, a gunman opened fire on a group of Republicans gathered for a training session.
