UKRAINE launched a kamikaze drone attack on Russia overnight, causing a huge fire in a humiliating blow to tyrant Vladimir Putin.

Kiev forces attacked a major Russian oil depot not far from the front line, while residents reported hearing five fierce explosions.

The 2am attack on the port of Azov in Russia’s Rostov region sparked fires in several storage tanks.

Videos showed huge flames and clouds of black smoke billowing from the oil hub facility about 10 miles (16 kilometers) from the Sea of Azov.

The stunning coup came just hours before Putin touched down in North Korea for his first visit to Pyongyang in 24 years.

He is set to meet fellow dictator Kim Jong Un after thanking North Korea for its support during the brutal and illegal war in Ukraine.

The pair are expected to strengthen their already strong ties after promising to forge a “New World Order”.

In January, Kim sent delegates to Moscow for a meeting with Kim, following the North Korean leader’s own trip to Moscow in September last year.

North Korea said it has agreed to deepen strategic and tactical cooperation with Russia as both countries step up their united front against the United States.

In September, the pair vowed to fight a “sacred” battle against the West and said they would triumph against “evil” after a summit in Russia.

The attack in Azov proved to be yet another failure of Russian air defenses in combating Ukraine’s kamikaze drones.

Intense fires sparked by the attack covered about 53,820 square feet and were the latest in a series of Ukrainian attacks that have hit Russian oil refining and storage facilities.

Its aim is to attack Putin’s war effort and mark retaliation for attacks on Kiev’s energy centers.

More than 200 firefighters were mobilized to extinguish the fire, but it continued to burn.

A fire train was later sent to the scene.

The region’s Putin-friendly governor, Vasily Golubev, said there were no casualties.

He said: “In Azov, oil storage tanks caught fire due to a UAV attack.”

Just a few weeks ago, Ukraine managed to hit two Russian oil deposits in a massive attack – using eight powerful Neptune missiles and kamikaze drones.

Dramatic footage captured the raging flames as oil tanks exploded in locations essential to fueling Vladimir Putin’s brutal war machine.

Ukrainian government advisor Anton Gerashchenko shared filming on X of Russian flags and posters of the bloodthirsty despot Putin hanging along North Korean highways.
