A BELOVED country singer has died in a horrific car crash aged just 32.
Mother of four children, Ivana Pino Arellano tragically lost her life on June 15th – just one day after celebrating her birthday with family and friends.
Ivana was driving the car when she lost control in wet conditions and caused the engine to roll over on the side of the road.
Shocking footage shows the car was badly damaged and rolled over when police arrived.
Ivana died at the scene of the accident, leaving the passenger with whom she was seriously injured, according to local media.
The fatal accident occurred on the M-80 road, near the town of Pelluhe, in the Maule region of central Chile.
The country star was better known as “La Rancherita de Chanco” and was considered a traditional Mexican musician praised for her vocal range and stage presence.
She gained a large following in her home town of Chanco and was supported by the local council.
The Chanco City Council released a statement on its social networks confirming the tragic death.
They described Ivana as an “unforgettable figure whose charisma will resonate eternally in our lives.”
Before adding: “The name ‘Ivana’ for us will always mean happiness and joy in its purest essence.
“Thank you Ivana, for providing us with days full of light and harmony.
“His departure leaves a void that is impossible to fill, but his legacy will endure over time, reminding us of the beauty of his spirit and the generosity of his heart.”
The City Council also released a statement saying: “Ivana personified the spirit of public service with passion and love, always ready to help others and find solutions even in the most difficult times.
“She studied and worked in our municipality with great responsibility and commitment.
“Her husband and children were the pillars of her life, the reason behind all her efforts and sacrifices.”
Ivana was buried in the Curanipe Parish Cemetery, in Pelluhe, on June 17th.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
