A MAN has been seriously injured after he is believed to have been hit by a rollercoaster.
The incident occurred Wednesday night at Kings Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio.

Authorities said in a statement that the Banshee roller coaster was closed after the man entered a restricted zone around 8 p.m.
They believe it was at this point that the rollercoaster which can reach speeds of 68 mph collided with him.
“Park security and first responder personnel immediately responded to the situation and contacted local emergency responders,” officials said in a statement.
The injured guest was taken to UC West Chester Hospital before being transported to UC Medical Center by AirCare.
Police have since listed the 38-year-old’s condition as critical, according to the NBC news affiliate. WLWT.
The news outlet shared the moment after the 911 call when emergency crews were dispatched to respond to a “traumatic injury at Banshee 6300 Kings Island Drive.”
“Approximately seven minutes with an unknown male approximately 30 to 40 years old who was struck at 68 miles per hour by a roller coaster on Kings Island,” the dispatcher can be heard saying.
“Kings Island’s focus continues to be the well-being of the guest and their family,” Kings Island officials said in a statement.
“Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
“There is no additional information to share at this time.”
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
“KICentral is saddened to learn that tonight someone entered a restricted area of Banshee and was struck by a Banshee train,” Kings Island officials wrote on Facebook. publish.
It is not yet known why the man entered the fenced area.
The Banshee has been a favorite of thrill-seekers at the park since 2014, lifting brave guests 50 meters into the air and launching them into seven inversions and reaching speeds of almost 70 mph.
The parks website describes the ride as “stomach-churning” with “a 167-foot elevation hill, 150-foot curved first drop, a dive loop, a vertical loop encircling the elevation hill, a zero-gravity roll, a pair of bat wing inversions, outside loop, spiral, in-line roll and carousel.”
“The top speed of 68 mph is not reached until halfway through the ride, rather than at the first drop, as riders experience on most other roller coasters,” the description adds.
