The cop who booked megastar Justin Timberlike to jail for allegedly drunk driving has a reputation for following strict rules.
The pop icon spent the night behind bars on Tuesday after being pulled over in Sag Harbor, New York.
The Sag Harbor police officer who stopped the actor and singer wrote in his police report that he saw Timberlake run a stop sign and swerve out of the lane.
Officer Michael Arkinson, 24, then issued Timberlake a citation for allegedly driving while intoxicated and took him to the police station.
Arkinson is known around the vacation region for being a stickler for traffic rules, according to the New York Post Office.
The rookie officer has only been a member of the SHPD for three months, but he has already earned the title “the Sag Harbor Nazi” and “little redhead idiot” for his enforcement style.

He reportedly had no idea who Timberlake was when he stopped him – possibly because he achieved stardom with the pop group NSYNC, which peaked before the officer even reached his teens.
The 6-foot-2 former lacrosse champion began working as a part-time traffic officer in 2017 before being promoted to full-time officer in Sag Harbor this year, according to the Post.
KNOWN IN THE CITY
A resident of nearby Shelter Island complained about Arkinson to Daily Mail.
“I was surprised he stopped me,” said Spencer, who asked that his last name not be included.
“It was off-season and there was no one around. It was a stupid move. I felt like he stopped me just for doing that,” said the islander.
That wasn’t the last time Spencer met Arkinson.
Arkinson detained him a second time for talking on his cell phone, Spencer said.
“He told me I should be using Bluetooth,” Spencer told the Mail.
Arkinson handed him a $145 ticket despite his explanation, Spencer said.
“I thought he was going to give me a break… It really interrupted my workout and lunch plans.”
“’I think Justin Timberlake was a victim of the overly aggressive Sag Harbor police,” he added.
