A FATHER joked about being a horrible person just days before he shot his wife and turned the gun on himself, police said.

Olin Johnson, 57, and his wife, Kerilyn Johnson, 52, were found dead in their $1.34 million home in American Fork, Utah, on Thursday afternoon in what police believe was a murder-and-run. suicide.

Authorities believe Olin Johnson fatally shot his wife before killing himself, however, the motive for the crime has not been revealed.

Just days before the incident, Olin made a now-deleted Facebook post sharing his love for his motorcycle.

“No matter how bad I am, motorcycles always love me,” Olin’s June 18 post read, along with photos of him riding his bike.

“Oh, and skiing. Skiing He loves me too.”

Olin’s profile featured a short biography that described him as the father of “6 beautiful children and a beautiful wife.”

Neighbors said the couple, who celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary in April, had been playing softball with some other residents the night before the shooting.

They said they didn’t notice any problems while Olin talked about future plans, per CBS affiliate KUTV-TV.

“O family is requesting privacy as they mourn their loss. We express our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Olin and Kerilyn,” said American Fork Police.

Olin was the owner of Simtek Modular, “a services company that manufactures modular panels for force-on-force training,” according to his LinkedIn.

The page says the company has worked on projects with the US Border Patrol, the FBI and the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

Recent social media posts showed the couple’s trip to Australiawhere they celebrated Kerilyn’s birthday.

‘WILL BE MISSED’

Kerilyn Johnson was an adjunct faculty member at the Brigham Young University School of Music, where she taught several courses over the past two years.

She has performed in several major theater productions and has performed throughout the U.S., Russiaand Baltic States, during his graduation.

“She currently works in a studio locally and maintains her private studio at home, as well as being a mother to six children,” her bio read.

Gayle Lockwood, a retired BYU voice professor, said Kerilyn was her friend and former student.

“Kerilyn was literally one of the most generous, kind and supportive people I have ever met,” she told the outlet.
