At the time, Beahm had over 4.45 million followers on the platform, making him one of the most popular creators.

He moved to YouTube, where he has over 4.72 million subscribers, however, a former Muscular contraction An employee came forward claiming that Beahm’s ban was due to “sexting with a minor.”

“He was banned because he was caught having sex with a minor in the then-existing Muscular contraction product whispers”, he wrote Cody Conners on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Connors did not explicitly name Beahm in his tweet, however, so many speculated that he was the subject of the post.

“He was trying to meet her at TwitchCon. The powers that be could be read in plain text. Case closed, gang.”

Beahm’s ban came soon after Muscular contraction updated its sexual harassment policy, punishing offenders with permanent suspensions.

In a statement, Beahm confirmed that he had messaged a minor using Twitch Whisper in 2017, but said they were “casual, mutual conversations that sometimes veered too far toward being inappropriate, but nothing more.”

“Nothing illegal happened, no photos were shared, no crimes were committed, I never met the individual,” Beahm tweeted.

“I went through lengthy arbitration regarding a civil dispute with Twitch and that case was resolved by settlement. Let me be clear, this was not a criminal case against me and no criminal charges were filed against me.”

Beahm continued, saying he should never have spoken to the minor.

“That’s up to me as an adult, a husband and a father. This should never have happened.”

He ended his statement by writing that if people feel uncomfortable with his actions, that’s okay.

“But I’m not going anywhere. I’m not the same guy who made that mistake years ago.

“I’m taking a long vacation with my family as mentioned in the broadcast and I’m coming back with a big weight on my shoulders.”

KNOCKED DOWN

The statement was met with harsh criticism online, resulting in several popular streamers cutting ties with Beahm.

Kai Cenat, who has more than 11.2 million followers on Twitch, unfollowed Beahm during a live stream.

“Regardless, bro. It doesn’t matter your age,” said Cenat.

“Go take it break it bro.”

Beahm was also dropped by Studio Midnight Society, a game studio he co-founded.

“On Friday evening, we became aware of an allegation against Guy Beahm, aka Dr. Disrespect, from our co-founder,” the studio said. he said in a statement.

“We assumed his innocence and began talking to the parties involved. And to maintain our principles and standards as a studio and as individuals, we needed to act.

“For this reason, we are immediately terminating our relationship with Guy Beahm.”
